Does the person I’m calling need Alofi?
No. Alofi calls regular mobile and landline numbers. The person you call answers on their usual phone, without installing an app.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Your iPhone needs Wi-Fi or mobile data to place and receive calls in Alofi. Your mobile provider’s data charges may apply.
How much does a call cost?
Rates depend on the destination and the number you call from. Alofi shows the rate before you call, and connected calls are charged in started minutes. You can see current top-ups and plans in the app, in your App Store currency.
Can I receive calls and text messages?
Yes, with an active Alofi number that supports the service. Number availability, calling, SMS support, and identity requirements vary by country and number type. SMS is receive-only; sending texts is not supported.
Do my credits expire?
Top-up credits do not expire. Credits included in a plan are valid for their monthly allowance period and do not roll over. Alofi shows your balance and plan details in the app.
Can I use Alofi for emergency calls?
No. Alofi does not support emergency calls. Use your regular mobile or landline service to contact emergency services.
